Louisiana, Oregon State, and University of Washington move up in the rankings!
The USA Today/NFCA Coaches Power Rankings for games up to Feb 13 are up, and the race to to No. 1 is heating up! Washington Louisiana Lafayette improved their positions, with both teams utilizing Aussie pitchers in the circle.
Kandra Lamb and the Ragin' Cajuns moved up three spots into the 20th position. Kandra dominated in her two outings, chalking up 2 wins with 18 strikeouts while only allowing 4 hits in 10 innings for a perfect 0.00 ERA.
Gabbie Plain and the Washington Huskies edged closer to the coveted No. 1 position, moving up one spot to No. 6. Gabbie started two games and came in as relief in a third, earning 17 strikeouts while allowing only 5 hits in 13 innings. She collected 2 wins with a 0.00 ERA.
There's a lot more softball ahead and plenty more teams to watch. San Diego State looks promising as their W-L record may help them crack into the top 25. There are some very interesting matchups in the coming week, with some high ranked teams facing off against some very determined Aussies who hope to keep striving for excellence!
